General Trainer Use
We recommend lubricating the trainer before inserting it into the vagina. For silicone trainers, you can use any water-based or oil-based lubricant designed for sexual activities. Never use a silicone based lubricant with silicone trainers as it will cause the surface to deteriorate. For GRS and rigid plastic trainers, you can use any lubricant, water-based, oil-based or silicone based, that is designed for sexual activity. All of the lubricants sold on our website under Sexual Health Products can be used with any of our trainers; silicone, GRS or rigid plastic. The proper way to apply the lubricant is to place some in your vagina and some on the trainer. This aids in comfortable trainer insertion. For detailed instructions on the use of GRS and Rigid Plastic trainers, please consult with your physician or health care provider.
Cleaning your Silicone Trainers
Clean the trainers after each use. Wash with warm water and mild soap. Pat dry and allow trainer to completely air dry. Store your clean trainer in cotton cloth or the open air. (Note: Soul Source silicone trainers can be sterilized in boiling water.) If you have a problem with yeast infections, cleaning your trainer can include sterilizing it in one quart of boiling water with two tablespoons of added vinegar. Be sure to thoroughly air dry the trainer. Using a hair dryer can be useful in assuring complete drying.
Cleaning your GRS/Rigid Plastic Vaginal Trainers
Trainers should be hand-washed with mild soap in hot water. DO NOT place trainers in boiling water as this will weaken the material and distort its shape. Alcohol or alcohol-based cleaning agent can be used if they are thoroughly rinsed afterward. NEVER soak the trainer in any solution containing alcohol. Following washing, trainers should be fully air-dried and stored in the provided storage pouch, or any clean, breathable material such as cotton cloth.
